ARTIST STATEMENT

As an artist, specifically as a realist, I strive to portray the emotion of a scene. There is beauty all around us, if we just take the time to notice it. I often find myself thinking “Could I capture that on canvas? How would I go about it?” My hope is that the viewer will, in their way, begin to grasp the feeling that the inspiration gives me. I enjoy using perspective to create the composition, and give depth and movement.
